CBC Meritorious Award

This award has been approved by the CB&CC Board. Bowls Committee will progress the Introductions & Implementation of the award. It is likely that formal awards will take place at the next CB&CC Awards/Green Opening day in September 2024.

Members / players will become eligible for this award for Outstanding Performance at/or while representing our club as a result of an accumulation of factors and criteria achieved.

The following is a list of players/members who have became eligible for the award during the season 2023/24 .. Congratulations:

Award Criteria

To be eligible for the award, the recipient must be a current member (at the time of being eligible) of the CB&CC for not less than 3 years (if Non-Playing).  A playing member must be a current player (at the time of being eligible) and have played not less than 100 Pennant games (In Any Division) after 1st October 2020.  The recipient must also meet at least 2 of the following criteria:

Criteria 1Have Won an Open or Restricted CB&CC Championship which includes:
a) Singles,
b) Pairs,
c) Triples,
d) Fours, or
e) Mixed Pairs (This competition has A Grade & Restricted Players)
Criteria 2
Have been awarded/won any of the following Claremont Bowls & Community Club awards:
a) Dudley Coleman Award,
b) Bowler of The Year Award (Male/Female)

Criteria 3
Have won any of the following Open or B Grade competitions:
a) Bowls Australia Championship,
b) Bowls Tasmania Championship,
c) Bowls Tasmania South Championship
, or
d) Bowls Tasmania South or State Pennant Premiership
Criteria 4
Have been selected to represent one of the following after 1st of October 2020:
a) Tasmania,
b) Tasmanian Tridents, or
c) Bowls South in a State-Wide Challenge (Juniors Not included)
Members/Players that achieved 2 or more of the above criteria prior to 1st October 2020 are NOT required to have played 100 Pennant Games.

Recipients of this award may wear/display a Unique Number (and Name) on their CB&CC playing entire. The unique number may be displayed on any or all of the following items:
1. Playing Cap,
2. Pennant Shirt / Shorts,
3. Club Hoodie/Jacket.
